happy.

i’m off to the motherland tomorrow. offsite in our canton, mass office next week, so i’m going to be on US soil for the first time in ELEVEN MONTHS (how crazy is that?!). i’m heading out a day early to 1 – allow time to adjust to new time zone 2 – shop on newbury 3 – wander the aisles of target (while number 3 sounds so uber lame, you have NO idea how exciting this is pour moi!). i also get to see my lovely friend colleen, so all in all a fab couple of days ahead.

that being said, it’s always heartbreaking to leave the chicklets and wen behind. especially now that piper really gets the whole “mommy is leaving” concept – and knows how to count days until i return. thank goodness for skype. i scooted out of work a bit early today so we could enjoy a fun night out in the alstadt … the sun is finally starting to stick around a bit which allows for a sweet night of wandering and eating outside and grabbing an ice cream cone. i soaked up every bit of that sun and these yummy faces and held hands with mr maxey and was so happy to be right in this moment.
