we’re heading to salzburg tomorrow. i’m so excited. so so excited. i love these little roadtrips … plugging a new address into the GPS and letting it guide us towards adventure.

but today i was sitting in the kitchen with bitty, and the sunlight was coming in and she was so excited that i let her sit up on the counter. and she said her new cute phrase, “i’m happy! mama, i’m happy!” and it struck me how happy i am as well. it’s these little moments. the castles and adventures and hotel rooms and road trips are amazing and i’m so very grateful for each new place we’re experiencing as a family. but it’s these precious moments that i want to cling to; us in the kitchen, getting a snack ready, kissing her little nose and hearing her babble in that secret language that we’re finally starting to understand. these are the moments where i want to press ‘pause’ on my life and stay in this room, with the sun and my baby, and never leave.

so happy.
